The Korea Robot Industry Advancement Institute (President Woong-hee Son, hereinafter referred to as the Promotion Institute) announced the final selection of tasks for the service robot demonstration project and began full-scale work. The
'Service Robot Demonstration Project' is a project to create domestic and international robot markets by demonstrating robots in the pre-commercialization stage to demanders and securing commercialization performance of robot products.
The Promotion Institute supported the service robot sector, parts, and other service sectors to lead innovation in industry and daily life through the expansion of the K-Robot market, and a total of 28 tasks were selected through selection evaluation, and a total of 5.64 billion won in national funds will be invested.
(Logistics) The demander, 'Ohyeon Logistics', formed a consortium with the robot company 'Roboe Technology' and 4 robots will be deployed on site. The goal is to conduct a demonstration of a mixed box palletizing system that cannot be standardized. In particular, the task is to improve the work environment and solve the labor shortage problem by applying AI-equipped mobile palletizing robots to logistics sites where labor intensity is high and automation is difficult to apply.
(Small and medium-sized business) Robot supplier 'Autogeared' formed a consortium with demanders 'Trupharm' and 'Food One System'.
It plans to utilize the 4-axis collaborative robot it developed itself to build a pasta and pork cutlet cooking robot system. It is expected to reduce unit cost compared to the 6-axis robots that are widely used in the past, and it aims to increase the consistency of the quality of the finished food by cooking using robots.
(Medical) 'Yangsan Busan National University Hospital' formed a consortium with 'Roensergical'. It
will introduce a robotic flexible nephroureteroscope system for stone removal surgery, which is in high demand but has many restrictions depending on the size and location of the stone, and conduct clinical verification, and verify the effectiveness and safety of robot-assisted kidney stone surgery, thereby improving the quality of medical care and strengthening the competitiveness of domestic medical devices.
(Parts) The 'ROBOTIS' and 'Coras Robotics' consortium plans to apply the domestic robot controller manufactured by 'Coras Robotics' to the manipulator manufactured by 'ROBOTIS'. The goal of this project is to advance the performance of manipulators and contribute to the domestic production of controllers, one of the five core components.
President Son Woong-hee said, “Through this project, we will introduce cutting-edge robots to actual demand sites to improve productivity, address labor shortages, and improve work environments, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of our industry.”
