Great product
Lidar is a bit wobbly and off-axis. Other than that, it works just as expected!

Burger
Excellent support for the ROS environment to support the hardware and an excellent source of general education on ROS. The hardware kit was complete with excellent documentation and assembly video. A superior product in a complex emerging area of importance for future technology.

TurtleBot3
Easy to setup. Some minor changes in the Software/Firmware made some of the documentation online and in the Book out of date.

Robotis Burger
I happened to come across the TurtleBot3 while on the ROS site. It immediately piqued my interest as I’ve been wanting an official reference bot to use with ROS. Up till now, I was never really interested in a re-purposed vacuum cleaner with a Kinect and a netbook on it, especially considering its price! This is where I think the TurtleBot3 really shines! I tend to like clean, well thought out devices and TurtleBot3 lives up to this, at least for me. Add on to that the addition of a Lidar unit that is a real plus. I was initially interested in the Waffle, but really couldn’t justify the additional cost for a few more waffle plates, a PI Camera and different servos, so I went with the Burger. Prior to purchasing it, I did have a few pre-sale questions that the Robotis team answered quickly and accurately! This is yet another plus for these units, a dedicated staff that you can actually interact with. Placed my order and had the Burger within about 5 days. Spent about an hour and a half the evening that it came in building it. I enjoy building things like this as I like to understand what I have. It went together quickly and easily referencing only the manual that came with it as well as a 42-minute video that walks through the entire build. Now for loading the various pieces of software. Robotis made this a cake walk! Running a single script to fully install ROS on the remote laptop, a similar script for the OpenCR board and a downloadable image that offered a full implementation of Linux with ROS installed to run on the upgraded Raspberry Pi 3! Finally, a little configuration to include the remote laptop and Pi’s IP address and we were up and running! Simple! This only deviation that I made was I also ordered a Pi Camera Mount to get similar features to the Waffle. In hindsight, glad I ended up with the Burger as it’s smaller but taller size works for me! The unit works well on hard as well as carpeted surfaces. Finally, another important factor for me is the support. I’ve already mentioned the interactions with tech support. To addon to that, I just received an email from the support team checking in and offering ideas for additional sensors. Another wonderful resource available, for free actually, is a 400+ page book that covers not only the robots but ROS from the ground up. This alone is an amazing resource as ROS books that are available are spotty at best. And last but not least, there are tons of videos available both on Robotis’ website as well as YouTube to help you through pretty much anything you may want to do with it. Having a reference robot that “just works” makes it way easier to continue to lean ROS more deeply! Couldn’t be more please with my purchase.

Turtlebot3
Purchased to learn ROS and I am very happy with all aspects of my tb3. Would recommend in a minute. Worth the money. Pretty simple to get going but still challenging enough to learn how the systems work and how they interstate.

MAGNIFIC
TURTLEBOT3 IS THE MEJOR
-
easy to assembly
Good thing is:
- assembly manual: easy to follow
- all components: strong
- extra parts
- tool included
What I disappointed is:
- too short USB cables
- No operation manual for offline (I can find it at turtlebot3 wiki only)
- No RC-100B explanation
