Rivet Set (RS-10)

I first encountered the Ollo rivet system on a Darwin-Mini robot I built a couple of months ago. It's a simple system the is easily installed and removed with the tool provided in the Darwin-mini kit. Since then I have used the rivets to hold together some projects of my own - all I have to do is drill the correct size hole in both (and on occasion, three) pieces, push in the rivet tube then insert the center fixing pin. These rivets are best for shear or compressive loads, IMHO - tensile loads, especially variable tensile loads associated with motion, tend to wear both the hole and the rivet, loosening the joint and allowing it to fail.
